Define the deployment at the system level

A financing request needs more than the accelerator name. Document the server configuration, supporting equipment, and operating environment.

Three common configurations

From NVIDIA's and AMD's published specifications, checked 24 September 2026.

8-GPU HGX servers
NVIDIA HGX B200 and HGX B300 baseboards carry eight SXM GPUs in x86 servers from system builders. Power and cooling follow the server design; NVIDIA's own DGX B200 and DGX B300 are air-cooled systems of about 14 kW.
Rack-scale NVL72 systems
NVIDIA GB200 NVL72, GB300 NVL72 and Vera Rubin NVL72 join 72 GPUs and 36 CPUs in one liquid-cooled rack with a single NVLink domain. The rack is the unit of purchase and deployment.
AMD Instinct platforms
Instinct MI350 Series GPUs are deployed as OAM modules, eight to a platform: the MI350X air-cooled and the MI355X with direct liquid cooling. AMD's Helios rack carries 72 Instinct MI455X GPUs.

Anatomy of an equipment schedule

List every part of the deployment the loan will finance, so the request describes the actual equipment.

  • System model and builder

  • GPUs per system and number of systems

  • CPUs, memory and storage per system

  • Networking: adapters, switches and cabling

  • Power distribution and cooling type

  • Racks, delivery schedule and site

Hosting and operational considerations

The configuration sets what the site must provide, and the financing process verifies installation before funds are released for new hardware.

  • Power density per rack against the site's available capacity
  • Cooling type: air, direct liquid or facility water
  • Network fabric for scale-up and scale-out
  • Space, access and installation verification
